Nottingham’s own Delilah Fine Foods is celebrating dual nominations for both The Good Food Guide’s Restaurant of the Year Award and the first ever award for Deli of the Year 2010, sponsored by Olives-et-al.
The Good Food Guide’s Restaurant of the Year Award is awarded each year to an independently owned restaurant, pub or café, focussing on outlets that use local produce and offer great food backed up by top class customer service –
The Deli of the Year Award - created by prestigious importer and distributor Olives et Al - is new for 2010, and aims to reward “Deli Attitude”, searching for a unique store that has “lined its shelves and counters with the finest foods, chosen with great care, showing an obsessive determination to offer customers the very best flavours, variety and quality available, whilst being run with enthusiasm and warmth that brings its customers back again and again”.
"We are incredibly honoured to have been nominated and voted for by our customers, for two such prestigious awards: our sole purpose at Delilah is to find new and exciting foods and flavours and offer them to our customers in a unique and tantalising experience. Our quest to find sensational food & wine takes us from the farms and producers on our doorstep here in Notts, right across Europe and beyond, and by following the seasons we have an ever-changing offer, with our range of 200 plus cheeses and 50 plus meats never looking the same for very long. We offer the chance to try these great products by creating platters and dishes on the food bar and matching them with the perfect wines, bringing a European way of life to Nottingham City Centre. All Delilah’s staff really love food, and so information about new products is absorbed almost subliminally, and we work really hard to give our customers great product information and customer service. It is so nice when this is acknowledged by the most important people: our customers” said Sangita Tryner, proprietor.
If you would like to support your local deli why not visit and decide for yourself if you think Delilah is worthy of taking these awards?
