New wines of the Ancient World...
We tend to think of "classic wines" coming from France or Italy, but in reality wine-making is as old as civilisation itself.
But sophisticated wine industries existed throughout the classical world: Greece, Georgia, Armenia and around the Med, millennia before grapes ever reached France.
The 21st century has seen a wine making renaissance in many of these countries: ancient indigenous grapes now combine with modern wine-making to produce a fascinating, unique and excellent new wave of wines.
In this fascinating event we will explore 8 new wines from far flung corners of the ancient wine world, each presented with a seasonal dish to match.
